That’s because the traditional publishing industry is still operating as they did a century ago. There are too many layers and too much waste. What’s more the math on royalties is very fuzzy so the authors are getting squeezed in the middle. |

Chateau Publishing House believes that most consumers want to hold a hardcover book in their hands. But they want a good value on a book as well. We also believe that most authors don’t get enough for their work. So we established our new 50/50 Author Program that allows authors to publish hard cover, soft cover and e-book versions of their work and earn 50% of the net profits. The books from this program will be available for much less than similar books from major publishing companies. The books will still be available for sale through the large book wholesalers and retailers and Amazon.com, but they will mostly be sold directly to the consumers through our e-tailing partner iPascher.com. It’s a win-win. The consumer gets a hard cover book for less money and the author gets paid more for their work. In addition, all of the transactions are transparent to the author so they are ensured to get all of the royalties they are due. |  |

| Traditional Publishing In a traditional author publisher relationship the author only receives a small amount of royalties if any at all. On average this amounts to about 2% to 4% of gross sales. The bulk of the profits go to the wholesale distributor and retailer. At Chateau Publishing House we aim to change that with our 50/50 Author Program. |

| 50/50 Author Program With our new 50/50 Author Program we have removed the fuzzy math and replaced it with a clear transparent program whereby the publisher and author split the net profits evenly. Both publisher and author receive 50% each of the net profits. This also alleviates any questions about the validity of the royalty payments and allows the authors to make more money from their work. |
